    Nature usually takes care of this for you but it is a good idea to have a check-up afterwards with your doctor. There is the possibility of infection if it were an incomplete miscarriage. Most often you would be aware of an incomplete miscarriage due to continued bleeding/cramping.

    If you are not experiencing anything unusual, and you know for sure that you had a miscarriage, then things are likely fine. Many women have a very early miscarriage and never even know it.

    If it causes you concern, see your doctor for an exam.
