I don't know what it could be . As I don't know much about it but this is what she said to me online

Anyone have an opinoin?

There's pain in the areas where the ovaries are, so don't know oh well meh

Angie needs to get to the doctor and fast!!

It sounds as though she has a VERY SERIOUS infection, none of which I am qualified to diagnose. However, this is NOT normal and by odor alone should tell that there is something definitely wrong. By color alone you should know that there is something definitely wrong.

So, if I put 2 and 2 together I would have your sis get to the doctor or ER today.

I don't know why she didn't mention it Michelle. And like I said, I am not qualified on this one, but you know me well enough by now to know that I am very serious when I say that I believe this should get checked out like today.

No, problem Michelle, that is why I am here. I do wish I knew more about what is going on with Angie, but this is a new one on me. I am only putting the two symptoms together that you gave me and guessing.

I know if it were me I would be at the ER right now.

I don't know either.. she didn't tell me any more. And now she's offline. Though I do know she had a miscarrage last month, And is still trying to get pregnant.

Did she have a D&C after the miscarriage? Hmmm, I am wondering if this could have something to do with that. That makes me even more inclined to get her to the hospital today.

That was a GREAT site Joe gave. I'm sorry, I am just so used to this that sometimes a forget that some people don't understand.

While a D&C is not always necessary, I am beginning to believe that there may be something going on within her uterus that had to do with the miscarriage itself.

When my wife had a miscarriage, they did an ultrasound first to see if there was any material left. The doctor that we saw in the ER, wanted to see if it would exit on its own and naturally, because with a D&C there is a more of a risk to future pregnancies and infections from what I heard.

If there is still material left in the womb and she did not have a D&C it is possible that is what is causing a infection.

Ah, it is possible Joe, but with ANY procedure there is always a risk of some kind or another. I know of many women who have had MANY D&Cs, for other reasons, who have 4 or more children. So, they were just advising of the risks involved.

It is called informed consent. With informed consent you have to be informed of any and all risks to EVERY procedure performed, no matter how great or minimal the risk is.

In this ladies circumstance if she did not have one, it would probably be best if she did have the procedure especially if there are still left over material from the pregnancy, that would explain the pain and infection, but the only way to know for sure is to go to the ER. I do not know why people wait so long especially when it could be life or death.

As I read the OP over, I am getting more concerned.

The green color and smell of "decay" reminds me of a bacteria called pseudomonas. This has a very distinct odor that even if a nurse does not know the person has it, and she walks into the hospital room, she smells it and knows instinctively what it is.

Pseudomonas can be a very dangerous bacteria and should be checked out immediately. Like NOW!!

My sister got back from the dr today and this is what happened:

Angie says:
A tampon's string broke off, and somehow it was dislodged in my uterus preventing blood flow causing it to decay therefore emitting the decaying smell, and it began to inflammate the uterus lining and the cervix making it swell up making my tummy bloat... and they cleaned my uterus out.. they told me I was fortunate my uterus was not infected, otherwise it would have spread to my fallopon tubes and most likely scarred them for good reducing my chances of having a baby... the female dr assured me it wasn't the first time she saw it happen (tampon) and it happened to her so she helped with the reassurance but f*** it I was so horribly embarrassed and just ugh disgusted ugh oh man oh man lol I was lucky I did not get TSS D**N lol and they asked if I had a fever, and when I did the math, I did have a fever all week but I never was paying attention so my fault for being stupid... lol from now on going to be more careful .
They also told me I did the right thing by going to the er, not the dr, because the dr wouldn't have had the items needed to perform the extraction (it was painful) and clean the uterus out

I am glad everything workd out and that she had such a good doctor. Yes, she is lucky she did not get TSS. That is one reason I wear tampons ONLY when necessary.

Happy to hear she is okay Michelle.
