Seeking answers in custody of unborn child?
I am the Grandmother of 2 children currently in the custody of DWS/CPS in the state of Ca. I also have 1 unborn on the way, due in May.
My quesstion is? How can my son and daughter-in-law go about signing over custody, or adoption of my unborn grandchild too me. So as to keep DWS/CPS out of our lives? I had let DWS/CPS know that I was interested in seeking custody of my other 2 grandkids. They convently ignored my calls, and numerious requests to be considered for placement of my babies. So now the famly is seeking advice on which papers to file, and how to go about keeping DWS/CPS out of our lives where this new baby is concerened.
What can we do?? SOMEBODY, PLEASE HELP!!

    Sincerely

I have removed your email address as it is not a good idea to place it on a global website.

Until that child is born there is nothing you can do.

May I ask why the children are in your custody please?

Nothing can be done till child is born, how would they have even known about a new child ( until you told them now )

As soon as the child is born, you can have an attoreny have paper work ready for them to sign

I don't completely agree with the others at this point. Since the child isn't born yet it may be possible to select an adoption agency to work with. And having them go through the agency may help with some of the red tape involved. Or they can tell you of the pitfalls of it such as the state wanting to adopt out to couples rather then single moms. That may be the best route to go at this time.
