So I broke up with my ex a year ago and me and his friend started going out a few days ago and I think my ex is over me and he has a girlfriend now. Me and my boyfriend haven't met up yet but will soon and we want to keep it a secret so is this bad?

I think these things all depend on how serious you are about your new boyfriend, there's always that "code" stuff when it comes to dating close peopleto ex's. I think if your ex see's how in love you two are and how serious you are then with time he will probably except it, it will also depend on how mature he is. How old are you?

It is not 'bad' to date your ex boyfriend's friend.

Sometimes, as Advice pointed out, because it can create some problems with close friendships. To close friends, it can be one of those things that just isn't done.

That you are going to date your ex boyfriends friend, and feel that it has to be kept a 'secret' as you said, doesn't sound like either you, or your new boyfriend to be, is comfortable with the relationship out in the open.

If that is the case, somebody has to break the ice here, and either have a talk to the ex boyfriend, or forge ahead without feeling things have to be kept a secret.

Why complicate your life with these secrets? If you go out in public you will be seen so do your thing without the secrets why don't you. Its no ones business but yours any way so don't act like you are guilty or afraid of something.
