    70's to 90's space anime movies?
    I'm looking for a movie... a space anime sort of... I've don't know when it came out...

    I just remember it being in outer space, and I remember at the beginning it shows a young man in a spaceship on his way to his fathers friends place. But while that was happening his home planet was surrounded by alien spaceships and blast to pieces. I also remember towards the beginning the young man talking to his father while his father was driving his spaceship. But while they were talking his father gets blown up by a bunch of spaceships. So through out the movie its him and his friend and a girl (idk what her name is) go on a journey together and that the end the young man fight a huge alien... so does ANYONE recognize the movie I'm talking about... if anyone know can they PLEASE TELL ME THE NAME!

    Secret of the Lens

    A young man from a farming plant attempts to save the life of a dying spaceship pilot. He crashlands at the edge of his fathers farm. He tries to help but it's too late. The pilot recognizes the selflessness of the young man and passes a powerful device called the lens on to him.
    A transparent lens appears in the back of his hand, which makes him the newest member of the Lensman forces.
    The lens contains information vital to winning a war against a ruthless machine empire.
    The enemy fleet arrives in orbit of the planet and the young man escapes with the help of his father's friend .His father confronts the enemy head on in an attempt to delay them long enough for his son to escape and deliver the message.
