    Theft under 5000 alberta
I an guilty of theft under 5000 in alberta. I thought a customer found a wallet and I took 60 bucks and turned it in but that customer happened to be the lost prevention team at my job. When they took me into their office we talked and they had a whole pile of witness statements from other employees in my department claiming someone stole money from them and they had no evidence. I told them I work two days a week and the people I alwayd work with did not write a statement. I also told them that the cabinet we put our stuff in has been broken for a while and I had money stolen to. I admitted to taking money from 3 people because they were who I worked with when my money went missing. In total I took 10 dollars from them and that's it. What am I expecting when I go to court? Its my first offence and I'm 18. Is it possible to go to jail since its my employer taking me to court?

Please help me.. Second time theft under 5000$ Alberta Canada - Alternative Measures [ 0 Answers ]

I was extremely stupid for doing this. I was caught trying to shoplift from a mall 2 days ago, got arrested and assigned to a court date by mid Feb 2011. I know that it was extremely stupid of me and wrong, but my only excuse is that I was laid off from my job 6 months ago and seriously desperate....

2nd offence theft under 5000 alberta [ 7 Answers ]

I realize there are many threads about this but not quite the answers I'm looking for. I got caught shoplifting when I was 16 at Sears and because I was a minor I only had to deal with alertnative measures. I also learned my lesson on stealing because it's stupid and not worth ruining my life...
