I have a baby with a registered sex offender, what are the chances of me getting full custody? I am living in one state with my family but he wants to take my son to another state. Will I be able to obtain full custody of my son?

Was he a registered sex offender when you sleep with him and got pregnant ?

But why is he a sex offender, did it involved children ? I have a friend, who was 16 and was having oral sex with his girlfriend, he is a registered sex offender and will be his entire life. He is no more of a threat to a child than Billy Graham would have been.

So what threat is he to the child.

Next what is the current court order, if there is none, why ? So you go to court file for custody, he may try and get joint or get visits. You try to restrict his visits to supervised, by proving with evidence he is a threat to the child.

Depends on the situation. What was he convicted of doing ?

Well he was in a relationship with a minor and having sex with her. My concern is that he is not mentally capable because he is such a depressed person, he has even attempted to hang himself. He wants to take my son away and live in another state because he doesn't like it in Nevada. I am not trying to take away visitation I just want my son with me.

So can I assume you don't have any form of child custody in place at this point ?

If not, you need one, and of course visits can include taking the child for a couple weeks to his home in his state, visits is not going to be in your living room.

So
1. his sex with a minor will most likely have little to do with it
2. his attempted hanging can, if you have evidence, a police report, a hospital report?
3. id his depression under a doctors orders, is there medical proof of this.
