    Squeaky general electric dryer
    Sometimes it starts quiet and within 30 seconds it squeaks. Now it is sqeaking all the time. It is over 20 years old!

    If its over 20 years old, I can imagine it would be squeaking. Buy a new one !

Applguy gave some great advice on squeaky Frigidaire clothes dryers. Several people used his advice to repair their clothes dryer. However I need advice on my Maytag electric clothes dryer model #MDE4806AYW. My problem sounds very similar but it is a different brand dryer. Thanks for any help.

My General Electric dryer drum glows inside ? I have a problem with it squeaking, when I pulled the door open quickly, I can see the back of the drum glowing, I am guessing this is not normal? Any ideas, ta !
