    General Electric dryer glowing ?
My General Electric dryer drum glows inside ? I have a problem with it squeaking, when I pulled the door open quickly, I can see the back of the drum glowing, I am guessing this is not normal? Any ideas, ta !

The heater is on that is why it glows. The glow will go away if the dore is open for a minute. The noise is usually caused by drum bearings that are getting close to need replacing.

Rear bearing on General Electric clothes dryer [ 2 Answers ]

Can anyone tell me how to replace the rear bearing on dryer model DDE6500GALAD? I can put a drop of oil on it from the rear of the dryer and it stops squeaking for a few loads but then starts again. I can't find any documentation for it on the GE site. Thanks
