    I am a custodial parent with joint custody with there father.
    I want to know if I needed him to take our son for awhile could him fight me for fool custody? I don't want that to happen.

    How long is "awhile?" An hour? A day? A month? A year?

    I think if you asked him he should do it with out having a fight and if he can't then don't do it. I wouldn't think so but maybey you could write him an agreement fron one date to another date you will award him custody but not before or after that date. If your child is old enough to have a say talk to them about that express your feeling towards it and go from there
