How to attach a porch roof?
I am wanting to widen my porch and attach a roof to it. The porch will be wood with wooden beams holding the roof in place. Currently the roof already there is poorly made and in not at all good shape and will be torn down.

If I continue with the slope my main structure roof is at, the porch roof will be too low. Any ideas? Also was hoping to have a different type of roof on the porch, the one on the house slopes down to the front while the one on the porch I am wanting to peak at the door way so it is being shown pitched from the street.

Are u looking to build a shed roof(pitching one way) or gable end roof(pitching two ways)?

If building a gable end u can match existing fascia height and tie into existing roof to form a valley on each side.

"the one on the house slopes down to the front while the one on the porch I am wanting to peak at the door way so it is being shown pitched from the street." Can u give us one reference point that is common to both pitches?
