Boyfriend wouldn't call for days and kept changing mind about our relationship
My boyfriend and I have been together for two years.During those two years there would be times I would not hear from him for days. He would leave on weekends to visit parents without telling me. He would break dates with me at the last minute. One minute he would say he wanted to marry me, the next minute he would disappear. He did not respect the relationship. I finally told him I felt he was not spending enough time with me, and that now that my two grown kids were living on their own, I wanted to have someone in my life to eventually marry. He stopped calling me and I didn't see him for 10 days. Than one day he shows up again, and says he could use my company. By now I had decided to move on and posted my profile on the dating sites. We spent the weekend together making plans again for our future. He found out I posted my profile on a dating website and has broken up with me because of this. What should I do. I truly love him.

That weekend 'spent making plans for the future' - what are the odds of that being real, when he had yet to show any signs of meaning it? You did the right thing, and he's being selfish by wandering in and out of your life and then getting mad if you were on dating sites. The writing was on the wall. Keep your options open, and tell him why. He can't be all talk; he has to prove himself by 'dating' you steadily for 3 months, IF he ever comes back wanting another try (I think he comes back when there are just no other women at the moment, sorry).

Good riddance to bad rubbish. You spend two years eating his crap, and then he leaves because you posted on a dating site.

Good for you. Now just don't allow him back in your life.

This is not a question of you truly loving him, but one of do you love yourself? He obviously doesn't love, or respect you, so heal, and happy online dating.

Got to be a better way to be happy than him. There just has to be.

Forget him... He doesn't seem like a guy that wants a relationship with you. Two years is a long time, but this will keep reoccurring for however long you allow it to continue. Cut him off and find someone who wants to be with you, not someone that visits you whenever he has nothing better to do. He seems to be using you as a pass time.
