Home improvement projects-fully paid for but unfinished!
In 2006,I paid a friend to do a job on my house. She had a business then... a home decor/floral arrangement kind of thing. Her husband, then retired from the military, does home improvements as a side job. My friend makes custom window treatments, and that was my primary job for her. She came to my house and made measurements, and that was when she suggested changing the floors too to go with my new curtains. I agreed because. My carpets and vinyl floors were dirty, then, too my walls needed fresh paint. It was all agreed upon that they would do the floors and window treatments, painting and in addition I ordered through her some home decorations that she again suggested as now she became my interior decorator. I was happy that some work was done, but mostly unfinished to this day... going on 5 yrs... They were supposed to change the 3 bedroom flooring and bathroom floors, too. What should I do to get them to finish the job?

Is there a written contract? Have you paid for work which was not done - if so, you may be out of Statute (depending on the State)?

You can always sue in Small Claims Court IF there was an agreement - oral or written.

    This is a legal question.
