How to get old, crackled look with paint?
 Someone told me that I could apply glue to a surface and when the glue was tacky, apply paint and I would get that old crackled look--it supposed to work on any surface. I have tried it and it does not work. I used regular Elmer's type glue and interior wall and trim paint. It tried on cans, paper and plastic. I need to create some unique looking containers for plant pots, etc. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Try different types of glue. Maybe Modge Podge, Gorilla Glue, Slow-dry super glue, tacky glue... There are soooooo many types of glue. You can find them at either your local hobby or craft store.

There are also different types of mediums that are specifically made to create a certain look with paint. From iridescent to matte to gel mediums, I'm absolutely sure there is a cracking medium.

    Good luck!
