Offensive communications case - likely outcome?
My boyfriend is due in the magistrates court on Tuesday on a charge of sending two offensive messages via voicemail. He is currently on a suspended sentence as he was charged for criminal damage back in June 2010. I'd like to know what sort of outcome I can expect for this case please and what information and facts will be considered during it?

    Hello C:

Well, it depends on whether he's guilty or not... I don't know what an offensive voice mail is, from a legal perspective... Do you? Now, if just wants to lay down for the court, I couldn't say what might happen to him.

If it was me, I wouldn't go to court without a solicitor by my side... But, that's just me.

So was the big offensive just strategy? [ 37 Answers ]

We heard a great deal of the big offensive planned for Kandahar in Afghanistan but so far it has failed to materialise. Was this a strategy to have the Taliban concentrate their forces and has it failed? Perhaps it is that with change in command there has been change in strategy even though it...

Offensive Fumble Advancement Rule [ 2 Answers ]

It is my memory that 20 or 30 years ago an offensive team could not gain yardage via a recovered fumble. Didn't the NCAA rule used to require the refs to mark a fumble recovered by another member of the offensive team at the point of the fumble, instead of where recovered, if downfield of the...
