Hello, I'm trying to figure out if I am pregnant or if I am just throwing up in the morning after I take my pills. I have been taken One a Day Women's Active Metabolism and also a Probiotic pill for a little over a month now and just yesterday I started taken them both before I have a bowl of Oatmeal and yesterday right after a couple of bites maybe a little less then 10 minutes I would need to run to the bathroom and throw up. Could it be the amount of Iron put together with the pills and oatmeal that is making me throw up. Otherwise I sort have had unprotected sex on the 1st of the yr and it has been about 3 weeks now. I do take avianne birth control and I was on my last sugar pill on the 1st but right after that situation happened I took the recommended amount that would equal the morning after pill. I have been spotting here and there since a week ago and also I have about 7 days left on the actual pill until my next period. I did have a test and it was negative but is it still to early to tell?

It may have still been too early for accurate test results. I would wait and see if your period comes or not and if not re-test. What do you mean you took the amount to equal the morning after pill? If you've been taking birth control correctly, which means one pill every day at as close to the same time as possible, then you shouldn't need to take extra pills while taking the week of sugar pills. Of course using other methods such as condoms or other non hormonal options while on the pill is always a good idea, as no method is 100% effective. But taking pills incorrectly won't make them more effective.

If it comes off wiki or Yahoo, it's usually not reliable. Here we pride ourselves on giving accurate answers. If you've been taking the pill correctly, then even on sugar pills, it's not truly considered unprotected sex. So there would be no need for you to have taken multiple pills. In fact, doing so may have thrown your cycle off. So your period might be late because of that, if you're not pregnant.
