    Well pump problems
I just bought a home and the well pump was just replaced about 3 weeks ago. Yesterday I went to the house and the water isn't working. I have a 2 wire system so I don't have a control box. I checked to make sure there is power to the pressure switch and it has power. It has the 240v that it needs. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do. I am thinking that the pressure switch is bad since there is power at the switch from the breaker box but nothing going out of the switch. Please let me know if anyone has any advice. Thank you

Check the contact points on the switch. Are they closed (touching)? They should be but probably are not. The good news: Switches are cheap and easy to replace if you have some decent electrical/plumbing skills.

The well comes on and then the switch won't let the pressure get to 40 without the points sticking and clicking causing it not to cut off. This is an electric water well with a 20/40 pressure switch. What could be causing this?
