    Cant get my wedding dress back... please help!!
    "my friend has been storing my wedding dress at her mums house for me but we have had a falling out and they are making it very difficult for me to get my dress back before my wedding. what are my rights on this? can anyone help????? "

    Sue the friend and her mother for the value of the dress

    And I guess I have to ask, why is someone storing your wedding dress before a wedding

    I live with my partner and didn't want him to see it and also I smoke so I wanted to keep it in a smoke free pet free house :-/ wish I'd just kept it myself now, silly superstition! Its been really worrying me :-( I can't afford to replace it xxxx

    Esp if you live in a small town, you could call the police to meet you at the mom's house, and tell them that they will not give you the dress, while they may do nothing, it could
    1. scare the mom into letting you have it even if police refuse to do anything,
    2. or th police may actually order them to give it to you,

    Also have you actually talked to the mom ?

    Yes they originally asked my partner to collect it then when he went there they wouldn't answer the door then sent a text saying I couldn't have it back until the end of dec (this was 3 months ago) and now I can't get hold of them on the phone or at house

    I have contacted again this morning and they are telling me I have to what a few more days and they will tell me when I can collect it :-/ they are just giving me the run around, do you think I should do as they say or get police involved now? Xxxxx
