My ex boyfriend is threatening to take my son away from me
I have been broken up for a month now but the last week I have been physically threatened by his mom. And now he is saying that he has more right to have my son then I do.

He wants to have my 2 year old son 3 days one week and the following week 4 days. I don't think it is fair on my son not knowing where he belongs.
By doing so apparntly I don't care about our son because I let him have our son for 3 days so he could calm down and focus on our son more rather than our previous relationship. I want him to leave me alone but his not going to stop about our son just to spite me.

    All advice is helpful.

    Hello b:

Go to court to get a visitation order and a child support order.

Let the courts decide. You should have gone to court immediately after the child was born to establish paternity, custody, visitation and support. So do that now. The courts will allow you to work out a fair schedule. However, 50/50 is not out of the question. If you live close together (in the same school district) it's a viable schedule. At 2 yrs old, it may be confusing to the child, but as it gets older he will understand more.

And your son belongs with his parents. Sometimes that means different place at different times. You should be focusing on the positive, that he has two parents who love him and want to be with him, rather than belonging to one place or the other.

First he is the father and has as much right ( not more) to both of your son as you do.

And it is very common if the couple lives close enough for them to share custody, often one has the child one week, the other child has the child the next, or the three days one week, four days the other is very very common.

And what is unfair, why should he not have equal time with his child also ?
