I moved in 7 months ago and had no furniture so this person gave me all the furniture now we are at odds she want to take it back can she? It is not listed in the lease or nothing and I have the furniture and she has receipts can I keep it or sell it? She is not listed on my lease so she is not my landlord but it was given to me by word of mouth can I keep it? No documentation stating about the furniture etc.

With no documentation she can claim it was a loan and you claim it was a gift. A judge would have to sort it out. It can go either way. More details about who this person is might make a difference. Please use the Answer options (not Comments) to post follow-up info.

You seem to be contradicting yourself here. In the title of the thread, you say the apartment was furnished and the furniture was given by the owner. But then you say she is not your landlord. Is this a riddle?
