I have 2 Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fans using 3 "9U UV Filter 001 lamp bulbs which generate so much heat, the room is 80 degrees in 15 minutes? An an employee of company that makes said fans said they draw approx 42 amps. This is way more than my 20 amp breakers can handle and they "break" 2 - 3...
Replacing Halogen 100W 120v Double Ended with Something Else?

I have a Harbor Breeze Avian ceiling fan that uses a 100W 120v Double Ended Halogen bulb, and they do tend to be hot. Is there any kind of alternate bulb (LED, fluorescent, etc), or a conversion kit that I might use? Thanks for any help!
120V Halogen Dimmer Switch?

I have a Hampton Bay flexible track ceiling lighting fixture (P/N 878-452) with five 120V 50W halogen bulbs. Is there a wall dimmer switch available that can dim these lights? (Even better if there is one that will work with the X10 remote system) Thanks Scott

Hi, I'm new Can I install NOMA 3 1/8" recessed 50w halogen light into a ceiling made of 3/4" cedar planking. Will they get too HOT for this application around the pot? I have 12'' of open space above with no insulation. Thank you. Rehnes

I recently came across some GE 240V halogen bulbs in England, they are a GU10 type base and MR16 size/shape/type(?) bulb. They are not available in North America yet and having been available for some time in the UK and Europe, it doesn't look promising they will be on the market here anytime...
