Beckett AFG DU201 oil heater gets to the temperature set,fan still blows-cold air
I have a Beckett AFG DU201 oil heater(pretty old) that after it gets to the temperature set, the fan still blows, blowing cold air and not shutting off. I have to shut the whole thing off after it starts blowing cold air. How can I fix it so that it shuts off after the house is heated to the set temperature instead of continuously blowing? Its heated by kerosene and I have an older thermostat. Thanks!

It could be the fan limit switch is set to cool. This is located above the burners also called cam stat. Google it to see what they look like. It may have a cover on it. There should be a kick on seting and a kick off setting. Set the kick on to about 120f and kick off to 90f. One other thing is on the manual t-stats are heat anticipator. If you have this on your stat it is behind the front cover and it is a little slide that goes up and down. Slide it all the way down and try it. If it still don't work slide it all the way up and so on until you get it. Digital t-stats don't have that problem.

Look for the phone number to the people who made it and call them and ask what would make it do what it is doing if they are still in business. The way you can tell if that is your manual is the pictorial will have all the same parts in it as your unit.
