    Blood clots
I had the mirena inserted just over a year ago, since then I have been bleeding heavy, during that time I may have stopped bleeding for all up, 2 months on and off. I have recently got the mirena removed as I found it was in the wrong place. That was two days ago and since then have been bleeding more heavier and with large clots. I am sick of this, does anyone have any advice other than going to the doctor, as I am currently waiting for hospital appointment. Thanks

It really is a matter of waiting it out in most cases. Many women will have bleeding and clotting after having their IUD removed. How often are you changing pads? If it is excessive, would be wise to let them know when you call for an appointment.
