    Fan remote stops working
My Hampton Bay ceiling fan remote stops working after the power (light or fan) has been on for an hour or so. When I first turn the light or fan on, everything (light on/off, dimmer, all fan speeds) on the remote works just as it should. Fifteen or 20 minutes later, I can still do everything with the remote. Go back half an hour later, and it's totally dead. It doesn't have anything to do with the remote itself, I bought a replacement remote, set the switches properly, and it has the same issue as the old one. None of the troubleshooting tips I have read seem to apply to this issue. Anyone know what the problem could be?

We switched the batteries and it still did not work, so it is not the battery. What do we do? How do we find out if it is the remote or something inside the fan. This...

I have a Hunter Fan (I think) that stopped working (magically) but the light kit on it works. I had recently removed an identical model fan with light kit out of another room that was working fine when I replaced it with an updated fan. So I replaced that "non-working" fan with the other one -...
