My 98 honda accord ex has given up on me?
I changed the distributor, and still nothing. What my uncle is thinking now is its fuel pump. The fuel pumps but STOPS after 5 to 10 seconds, is that normal? If so, then the problem is elsewhere. The night before my car died on me, I'd press on the gas, then my car felt like it wanted to turn off and then my lights dimmed down a bit but my car power came right back within seconds. I hope this is enough detail. Can someone please help me, I just bought this car and now I can't even drive it.

My 98 honda accord ex vtech 4 cylinder engine?
Is it normal for a fuel pump to pump for 5 to 10 seconds then stop? If so, then I don't know what the problem on my car may be. Check engine light came on the night before it died out on me. I press on the gas while in park, and when I let go at 3 rpm, it sounded like it wanted to die and the lights both inside and out dimmed down on me but came right bak within seconds. I drove home going 35 mph. then I moved my car in the morning turned it off, when I came bak to try and leave, it didn't want to start at all. I changed the distributor rotor and gasket and still nothing. My car sounds like its trying to start but something is stopping it. I'm positive its not my starter because there's no noise. Maybe its not receiving all the gas it needs??
Please somebody help I am in desperate need of it.

I'm no mechanic, but I've owned Hondas for the last 25 years, and one thing I learned is the older ones really, really need dry gas all winter.
