    Auto tranny won't shift to the second gear
    My 90 honda accord when you put it in d3 or d4 t won't shift to next gear unless you put into d1 or d2 and then the check engne light turns on

    . Check for codes.

    . Change the transmission fluid every 30,000 miles, preferably with Mobil 1 Multi-Vehicle Synthetic ATF or Amsoil Universal Synthetic ATF.

    If the problem persists, you'll need to take it to a professional. There could even be a problem with the TCM.
