    You can start with a 32:1 mix ratio. Mix enough to get the trimmer to run nicely. If it smokes too much or bogs down, dump the fuel out and go to a 40:1. Follow the same procedure again. If it is 10 years old or more, it's 32 or 40:1 and usually doesn't care.
