Domestic violence
Im 25 years old, I've been in a relationship of 5 years not married but we have two kids together . He has come to the point of leaving me black eyes, and my body bruised(have pictures). I want to leave the state to get away from him but Im scared Im not able to do that because he will report that I took the baby's out of the state with out his consent and I might get in trouble cause of that.. so what should I do? Or what can I do?? I don't want this life for me or my kids anymore!

Get out of the house, try local shelters. If you leave the state, he may file to force you to come back with the kids to that state. But there are shelters that you could go to, or just some other place locally. And how many times have you called the police when he does this to you. How many years in prison has he served so for because of this ? Bet you never have called the police? Do that and find him another place to live ( like jail) |

I have called the cops many times and they have taken him to jail, but only for a day or two and then he bails himself out. Prison.. he's thirty years old and he's never set foot in one and I assure you that it's not because he's been good... sometimes they don't even take him in they just tell him to relax and they tell me not to AGGRAVATE HIM ANYMORE!! YEAH.. About me going to a shelter, I'm actually scared of shelters because I have a friend that told me that her mom got rapped in one. And I'm not only scared for myself but also for my children.
