    Prevent father from visitation
I am in Ohio. What are the laws on abandonment here.Like my ex husband has not had anything to do with my son really since he was born, but got less when I left him.I left my ex because he banged my sons head off a floor saying the voices told him to do it.I moved to Pa,to get away from him.He was taking me back and forth to court for custody/visitation but he lost the custody part. However he was given a visitation schedule which he has never followed. Now I am back in Ohio,I live 1 hour away.He don't call his son,he don't write his son, nothing. When we 1st split up he was paying 51.00 for child support a month but he took it back to court and now he somehow got it to where because he is on ssi he don't have to pay. So I have not had any help AT ALL in about 8 years.my son is now 10.When my son was 4 he was in counseling and told his counselor his father was a bad man and that he put his "pp" in his mouth as well as other things.Police wouldn't do anything because my son was scared to talk to them and all hed say was his name and say he was a bad man.. Now my exes father told me my ex was going to take me back to court for visitation my ex father in law said he was not helping his son this time.I have a conversation I saved online where his dad told me my ex wanted nothing to do with being a father he was only doing it because his mom and sister told him too.. Last time my son actually talked to his father was 1 time last year and he told my son he was dying of cancer. His father informed me he was NOT dying that his son said that to gain attention... No birthday xmas cards no nothing. My son does NOT want to see him or talk to him.It just recently came back out the my ex put his "private" in my sons mouth and "white stuff" came out.. Now it don't take a genius to figure out that my son was obviously abused. My present boyfriend and I are discussing marriage now and my son asked him to please adopt him.He does not want his bio dad to be his father anymore and hasn't for a long time.My boyfriend now has been around for a little over 4 yrs and he has supported my son in every way possible. He loves him very much. How do I go about getting my exes right revoked for everything he has done to my son?Is this not a case of child abandonment/ sexual abuse on a child? Please I need help.. my son is so messed up because of his bio dad.I cannot allow this to continue... HELP PLEASE

First, its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. So I've moved your post to its own thread.

It sounds like what you want is to prevent visitation. And you may have a good chance of doing so. But abandonment is not an issue here. Abandonment is a criminal charge for leaving a child without adult supervision.

According to what you said, there already is a visitation schedule in place that he hasn't used. If he tries to use it then you have to go to court to fight it based on the sexual abuse. If he tries to go to court for a new schedule, again you bring up the abuse issues to fight it.
