Hi: I have a slab floor under a bathroom that I had to bust open in order to relocate a drain for a new shower. The hole with the rebuilt plumbing is about 18" x 22" and about 10 inches deep, plus an adjacent hole about the same length and width, but about 3 inches deep. I now need to fill it...

2 pipes are com'n through my cement basement wall and now water is coming through . I tried hydraulic cement from the out side didn't work . Is there anything I could do from the inside to seal it off thanks
Hole in fireplace

I found a hole in the floor of the fireplace. It extends the width of the fireplace, just between the fireplace floor bricks and the bricks of the hearth in front. Can't tell how deep it is because I don't have anything long enough to reach the bottom. I am concerned. Please advise.
