I live in a condo and water has been dripping from my unit into her unit from the bathroom. The floor in my bathroom isn't wet and the managers can't seem to figure out the problem but they think it is coming from my toilet. My toilet trickes a little water and I was wondering if this could be the problem.

Where do you see or hear the trickle. If your floor is not wet but the space below is wet it could be the drain pipe, maybe the wax ring under the toilet. Is this a rental or leased condo, if so just let the managers handle the repair. You are frequently not responisible for drain lines even if you own the condo, they are common property

Hi,

There are several things to look for and 1st pull and reset your toilet with a new wax ring. Make sure your flange is 1/4" tall from finish floor.
Run water in your tub or shower just to check your caulking if its holding. GOODLUCK

Normally I would agree but we do not know if the OP is an owner or a tenant. Also, condo covenants can be a bit twisted and responsibility for certain part s of a building may belong to an association and should not be touched by an owner or renter

Hi. The trickle is just in the toilet and the flapper is down and seems sealed. I own the unit. I was thinking I might need to fix the wax ring. Thanks for your help. I'll let you know how it goes.

A bad flapper can cause a trickle but that will not result in a leak below you. Does not sound like a bad wax ring . So hold off on that.We can fix the flapper easily if you want but the leak is more serious. Is there a HOA for your condo group.
