    How long to sit in jail on bail before first court date
    My son got pulled over and had no license, got arested and put in jail for 5000.00 bail, its been almost 30 days and they keep delaying his first court date because the DA for hat town is on vacation?

    Hello p:

    In this country, you son is entitled to a quick and speedy trial.. However, he won't get what he's entitled to UNLESS he has a pit bull for a lawyer.

    I had a family member on a felony, sit for 14 months in jail before they had the trial. Good news the time applied to his sentence. But it took 8 months for the crime lab to do the test on the drugs.

    But what is his attorney doing to get it to trial ? If that DA is goine, asked to have it moved to state court perhaps.
