How long does it take DSCE to get a court date.
I filed for a review in Virgina's DCSE in Feb 2008. They told me that it would take 6 months at the most to to get the review completed and new amount assigned. They sent me a letter in June showing the new amount based on their review. They also said they would have to have to submit it to the juvenville courts because the original support order was from the Juv. Courts. It is now going into October and there has been no court date set. When I call they say it has been sent to the courts and call the courts. When I call the Juv. Court they say they don't have anyting listed or pending for me. I go back to DCSE and they tell me that the courts only handle DCSE cases during certain dates. I ask what date my case will be reviewed and they can't answer it. I have been going between the DSCE and courts all month with no answer to when this will be resolved or handled. Where can I go to get answers and ensure that my paperwork isn't lost or forgotten. Thanks.

You might want to get a lawyer involved. The lawyer will do that work for you so you don't have to keep going between places and worry about lost paperwork.

What court system has jurisdiction in your area ? Some states its civil court where others its family court. Ive never heard of juv court holding proceedings for child support in any state before.

As CalifDad said, I've never heard of juvenile court (which is a criminal court in my area) having anything to do with child support. I think you need an Attorney at this point.
