91 honda civic dx starting problems
HI. I have a 91 honda civic dx. For cple weeks before it stopped running there were things like on a cold start there was a loud vibrating noise coming from the engine compartment, and sometimes had trouble starting up like it would struggle sometimes and others times after the start it idled rough I never checked it out cause I am super busy with college, it was driving fine and then I parked it in front of my house and it sat for 2 days and I went back out to start it but it won't start it cranks and cranks but never fires up and then it will miss fire and stop. I checked for fuel pressure and it has it, also checked all the relays and there fine, checked for spark and it has spark but it is extremely weak, the battery is fairly new and is good, I took the distributor cap off and the rotor and contacts are little worn down. But in the cap it also had bunch of red dust in it. What could be the problem? Did the distributor go out? I need to find out asap cause of my school and everything. Any ideas what it could be?

. Replace your distributor housing--the bearings are shot. Only buy a genuine Honda distributor housing and install your old Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil, in order to save money:

At AMHD, over 50% of new aftermarket distributors for Hondas don't work. Those that do are not very reliable.

. Clean the inside of the distributor cap with a rag and WD-40.

My honda civic dx has a hard time starting sometimes. This only happens occasionally but it'll turn over, but just won't ever start. It happened first about a month ago and is happening once a day now. I replaced the spark plugs and I don't know what else to do.
