    Claiming newborns
    I want to know if I just had a son in November 2006 is it possible that I will be able to claim him on my taxes?

    Yes, he was born in 2006 so you will be able to claim him for that year. Congratulations! -- Ace

    Yes, as long as he was born by Dec 31.

    All advice is correct; nothing more to add, other than the fact that your son must have a SSN in order to be claimed as a dependent.
