    4 months in my house owner won't give a rental agreement
    I move in my house and sign a 3 year lease I found out 1 week later the house was going through a short sale people all in my house I was not here for a good 2 weeks he lied to me never told me was going on with the house and won't give me a rental agreement I been here now 4 months now can't afford to move don't no when the bank going to take it or somebody buy and rent to me I think that's wrong he should have told me he losing the I could have move someplace else he rented to me under false pretence signing a 3 year lease

    You have a rental agreement, it is verbal, so at this point you are in a month to month rental. Assuming you never had one to start with and are only asking for a copy of it?

    But was there an agreement to have one ? Are they living up to the terms at this point. Was it a lease for more than month to month ?

    If you signed a lease, then call it a lease, a lease normally denotes a longer period 1 year or more, a rental agreement, normally denotes a month to month relationship.

    You needed to get or keep a copy at the time you signed it.

    If you have your lease, it will be binding on the new owners in a short sale.
