    What would be the best owership option for a café and what sort of business structure could it operate under?

    The "best" would be based upon your personal financial situation. The best solution for you is to hire a CPA to guide you here. Besides, he'll be the one to set up your books, secure the required licenses, and get your accounting needs on the right track..

    For me, however, I'd opt for an LLC.
