    California foreclosure
My wife and I have a home in Texas which live in. We also have a house in California we are losing in a foreclosure. I won't go into it too deep, but we took a second out on the CA house to make the down payment on the TX home. Do we need to worry about the mortgage co. putting a lien on the Texas house? We are originally from California. Also we are going to sell the house in Texas this month or next, should we try to speed that time up?

    Hello hog:

I don't know. Your Texas house should be immune, but I wouldn't take an exconvicts word for that. See a real estate attorney.

But, if you're not interested in saving your California home, what difference does it make WHEN you sell the one in Texas?

PS> (edited) Maybe I misunderstood you. Maybe you ARE interested in saving your California home by using the proceeds from your Texas home. IF that's so, then you'd best be getting on to selling that Texas home, doncha think?
