I live in nj. My landlord sent out my security deposit 1 week after the 30 day period
Can I ask for late fee? In additional, there are $500 penalty. However, they are only listed as "100 for kitchen cleaning" and "400 for damage to over" (which I think is oven). The only thing we do to the oven is that there are some scraping and we are pretty sure it is working. For the kitchen, only 1 window we forgot to clean. The problem is that we forgot to take photos or have proof. Is it possible to get part of the penalty back

Yeah its possible if you can show evidence, difficult if you can't... I'm sure the landlord already covered their butt doing so. Is it really worth the time and effort to try?

AS far as Late fee... someone else has to answer that.
