    That rear suspension actually has struts.
    The rear coil springs are part of that McPherson strut system and unless you have the special tools and skills, should be left to the guy's in the shop.
    Call around and ask for estimates. Part quality and labor rates vary significantly so there will be a variety of estimates.

How hard is it to replace a rear main seal in a Mazda 626 2.5L?! I THINK, I need to either pull the trans or the engine to get to it, correct? Sounds like a pretty big job. I can do stuff like replace the alternator, timing belt, breaks. I am just thinking that this might be out of my league!
