Foreclosure help? Who has the mortgage?
In foreclosure in Miami. Original loan with Ameriquest, then assigned to Deutsche (recorded) then letters from Citi-Residential, now American Home Mortgage Servicing, Inc. Did Citi-Residential buy all of Ameriquest mortgages and notes? What happens if the foreclosure is still being processed for Deutche/Ameriquest, but they sold the Note? Shouldn't a sale of mortgage to Citi have to be recorded? Tried to negotiate with AHMSI - waste of time. This has been going on for 3 years. It is stuck in the system and there has to be a reason. Trying to be prepared when something surfaces again. Watching the whole MERS, etc saga. Can anyone help please?
