    Hot water heater vacation setting I have a weekend house what is the best settings
    I have a weekend house that means it could go empty for a month before it is used I now turn the hot water tank to vacation and turn the water off at the main is that the correct way ?

    Hey Ron,
    Yes! Turning off the water is a MUST. You may put your water heater on vacation or simply shut the gas off and open the house up for the next visit. Cheers, Tom

    I agree with tom and just want to add to his if you have a water recirculation pump installed make sure you turn it off I learned it the hard way, went I vacation did everything but didn’t turn the pump off on return discovered the pump was burnt, Thanks.
