    How to switch a light to a fan
    I currently have a dining room light and would like to replace it with a light and a fan do I need to add any wiring?

    It depends on what wiring is in the ceiling and how you want to control it.

    One thing for sure is you will most likely have to replace the box with a fan rated box.
