    First time offense stealing-minor-under 18
I'm 13 and I was with my friend who picked up a $30 dollar bluetooth and jammed it in my backpack and I never knew it
So when I walked out the security took me and I got the blame of course
So now I have a court date December 2nd of this year
It counts as a first offense and now I'm banned from that store nationwide for life

    1. Am I going to go to a juvenile center?
    2. am I going to get sewed?
    3. are there options for community service?
    4. if not then what can community service consist of?

Of course your parents appearing in court will help a lot.

and the court will look at school work, grades, and even perhaps do a home interview to see what home life is like.
So in Juv court no one knows for sure, since their rules are not like adult court.

But most likely a fine, pay back for the value of the blue tooth and perhaps a fee for value of the stores time in your arrest.

And most likely probation with perhaps communinity service. Options will depend on where you are at, some places just tell you what you have to do, others allow you to find some public service.
some things local, wash police cars on weekend, pick up trash at local parks, reading to elderly at nursing home are all some things used locally here

As FrChuck already told you, this is not ADULT Court so it's hard to say. Re-read his post.

You will undoubtedly be told to find new friends.

What happened to the friend who stole the item and put it in your backpack? What did your friend think was going to happen if you got out of the store and then you found it?

Yes, Juv courts look at your school grades, they may interview school officials, talk to the resourse officer at your school, They may look to see if you belong to a religious group of your choice, may look to see if you belong to any civic groups, boy scouts and the such.

They will look to see ( and ask your parents) why you were unsupervised at this store at that time. They may ask the parents about how they disipline at home, they may ask how you behave at home.

The Juv court is looking at what interaction they can do, that will do the most good for you. Seldom is it Juv, it can be a boot camp sometimes, it is often perhaps a shock program where you have to do a program put on by inmates in local jails or prisons. You may have to wash police cars for months on the weekends.

What happens is not like adult court where there are min and max penalties for each crime.

OK I'm only asking because the officer that was there said I wouldn't go to juv for first offence
But I am involved in a leadership camp
Discipline is strict when it does occur
And I've what a shock program is like that they showed at my school-scary **** man- scary ****
    Thanks for your help
Ill send a message if I need anything else
And my grades are pretty good
    School official?
And while mom was shopping we went of to do our own thing at bestbuy and that's how it all happened
I bought a new game for the 360
And I guess he tried to steal a blue tooth

Expect leadership camp to release you - I'm sure you understand that it's difficult to believe that someone put an item in your backpack without your knowledge.

The testimony of the security guard will be interesting.

    Comment on JudyKayTee's post
Actually leaderhsip will not let me go because it is called i.c.a.n-issues concerning adolescents of Nevada

It's a camp for kids who have been cutters-emo-thought about suicide
So I won't be let go
    Nice try though
