Hi all, One of my baseboard heater (240v)'s wire was broken can I replace it with a heavier gauge wire? Also can different gauge ground wires (copper wire) be connected with a wire-nut? IS THIS SAFE TO DO? OR Will this create a fire hazard?

Is it OK if a 15 amp circuit uses a 14 gauge hot but a 12 gauge neutral?

I've noticed some circuits in my home are on 15 amp breakers and are using 14 gauge for the hot wire but 12 gauge for the neutral wire. Is this OK?

I got my belly button pierced about three weeks ago. I got pierced with a 16 gauge. I can't find any body jewerly that is a 16 gauge, so I decided to put a size 14 gauge in. Will it affect me in anyway? What are the effects of putting a bigger gauge in then what you were pierced with?

I am wiring my basement. All the outlets are running off 2 independent 20 amp circuit breakers connected to each other by 12/2 wire. I wanted to run some stubs off my 12/2 outlets.
