I wired a fan light combo and the lights work fine but the fan trips the breaker?
I wired a fan light combo with a nightlight.the lights both work fineand the fan trips the breaker as soon as switched. The wiring is correct according to the fan wiring diagram and the switch diagram. If the problem is in the fan wiring how would I diagnose or fix it?

I figured out after a process of elimination that the wire I ran for the fan, from the switch to the unit is bad for some reason.I will run new wire and everything will work properly.thank you for your reply is started a process of elimination.
