    My dog has started peeing in the house
    My dog is a 9 year old westie who we rescued when he was six he was well house trained until I found out I was pregnant with my 5th child and now he has started peeing on the spot he doesn't ask for the loo no more just pees where he stands please help as I love him so much and am worried its old age getting to him

    It may well be age related incontinence. Is there any one spot or does he just go whenever and wherever he happens to be?

    Hi thank you for getting back to me he just seems to do it anywhere he pleases I'm too scared to take him to the vet just incaese they tell me there's nothing they can do

    Scared or not, there are other age related issues (which this sounds more like as we go) that need to be attended to. Cataracts, tumors, organ failure, just generally running down all start happening as age advances. Some of these can cause him a great deal of distress which I know you don't want to do.

    When we rescued him we were told that he had cataracts and it was too far gone which now my poor little man is partially blind but the vet recommended classes which we took him to classes to learn how to cope with that and he came on leeps and bounds
