I have been best friends with her for about 3/4 years now, and sometimes we have a complete laugh. Our friendship can be really strong, we're both 16, both always up for a laugh, parties, whatever, and sometimes it's like we know exactly what the others thinking, how to make her laugh, blah blah. But, there are things that have been making themselves more well known lately - like we're completely different people, who like completely different things; guys, music, clothes, activities. She's really spoilt and bratty sometimes, while I've been brought up to be totally practical, and appreciate what I get. She's never willing to compromise, and gets annoyed and angry at the silliest things. I'm in no way saying I'm perfect - I'm bossy and a control freak a lot of the time, and I often think I know best. But lately, all these differences seem to just be getting us both angry and worked up, we've barely met up or talked lately, even though it's the holidays, and I don't know what to do - should I try and save our friendship, or are we just too different to make it work? :\ Help please!

You have known each other since you were 12,kids really,and kids like the same things mostly.

As a teen you start to develop different interests and meet new people.

Some friendship stand the test of time,one of my oldest friends I met when I was 12,I'm 38 now and we still meet up and have a laugh.

It does not always go that way.

As you grow older go to college your life will change and so will the people in it.

You could talk to her about how your feeling,maybe she feels the same,you may not be best friends any more but you can still be friends.

There are friends who will remain friend the rest of your life.

There are friends who grow apart and you become just casual acquaintances.

Talk to her and tell her how you feel. Just because you're complete opposites, doesn't mean you can't be friends.

This friendship deserves another chance and if it doesn't work , you can say you tried.
