I love heavy thunder storms, but we don't get all that many.
The wife, on the other hand, is scared silly of them.

This summer we've been getting thunder storms every night. Yes, every night!
A few weeks ago we went to get the registration on my van renewed, we were talking the lady that was helping us, and she commented that it was so nice and hot outside, but she was cursed. I asked why. She said that she gets off work at 9pm, and lives an hour away, and every single night on her drive home, the thunder storms start. She hasn't had one single day in the sun. ;)
It's weird. The days are bright, sunny, hot, and than usually around 9-10pm we get the thunder, lightening and heavy rain.
Global warming? ;)

I live in atlanta, and this week my pool was about 3 feet under water from a creek behind my house. I had already closed the pool, so the pump was not running, and it was covered. I've taken the cover off and it is orange, with lots of mud, sand, soot, etc...

Brick Patio Sand kicking up after rain storms
[ 6 Answers ]
We built a brick patio last weekend. We started by laying rock and then sand in the alloted space, added the brick, then put more sand between the cracks. After that we laid a cement sealant, watered it down, brushed it off, and repeated several times. Now when we have rain storms, it kicks all...
