    divorce second time around
I am seriously thinking off getting a divorce to my husband... I am a very giving person.

I met my husband and fell head over heels. He is on SSD. And had nothing when we met. Since we got married I have given him,a car, I refianced my house as agreed to start a home improvement business for him to get off SSD. The business failed, I bought all of his electrical tools needed to do major home repairs, I paid for advertising etc... a value of about 10,000.00. He resently got a settlement partal payment of 18,000.00 and spent every penny, bought himself a 50 inch plasma t.v. and a 2000 4x4 truck... He has another 200,000.00 coming. Hopefully this month, anyway he has spent that money foolishly well not the truck that he needed badly but the t.v.

If I divorce him, am I entitled to some of this money?? I feel I helped him get a life he didn't have before we met... I feel he owes me for the credit card debt of 5,600.00 and all the tools for the business that failed...

NOthing is in his name except for the truck insurance, every thing else is in my name..
Oh I forgot to mention, he has/is verbal abusive

What am I up against ?
    :(

You'd be entitled to a portion of the marital assets, which, form the tone of your post apparently were all acquired by you. Contact an experienced divorce attorney. (S)he can steer you in the right direction.

Thank you , and isn't it true, what you came into a marriage with is what you leave with? Besides holiday birthday and no reason gifts? We have only been married 2 years next month to. I don't think he could get alimony seeing how he is getting this settlement.
